The Washington Meetinghouse is one of the oldest meetinghouses in New Hampshire. The work consisted of a multi-year plan to restore the exterior trim and siding, the main level in its current configuration, and updating the building. Updates included construction of a new basement, that required lifting the building, and an addition to house new bathrooms and a future elevator. Despite all these renovations, the meetinghouse looks today as it has for the last centuries.
